I've always been the person asking questions.

The annoying kind, according to my family.

I like knowing how things work, why people make the decisions they do and what happens behind the scenes. Journalism is my happy place for all of that.

Currently, I work as a freelance Assistant Producer across ITN and Good Morning Britain, helping produce live television and digital content. My work ranges from researching stories and booking guests to editing video, writing copy and supporting coverage of major news events. Along the way I've also worked in regional television, reported during UK elections, produced and presented radio, and edited podcasts.

One thing I've realised is that I don't have a favourite part of the job.

I love the organised chaos of a newsroom. I love editing. I love finding the right guest for a story. I love spotting the clip that will work brilliantly on social media. And, I absolutely enjoy swapping the newsroom for the microphone and interviewing contributors.

I'm especially interested in how journalism is changing.

More people are discovering the news through social media than ever before, and I think that's exciting. The challenge isn't making journalism shorter. It's making it clearer, more visual and worth people's attention without compromising on accuracy.

Outside work, you'll usually find me exploring London, cooking an extravagant meal, watching films purely because I'm curious about how they were made, or convincing myself that I'll only spend five minutes scrolling before inevitably disappearing down a rabbit hole of interesting facts.

I'm still early in my career, which is probably my favourite part. There's always another story to tell, another skill to learn and another newsroom to walk into.
